***** SABINA, J.

Petitioners have filed this petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to release arrears of gratuity in terms of the law laid down by this Court.

Learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that petitioners had served notice (Annexure P-5) on the respondents for redressal of their grievance but no action has been taken on the same so far.

Accordingly, without adverting to the merits of the case, this petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 to dispose of the notice (Annexure P-5) served by the petitioners expeditiously, in accordance with law, preferably within two months from the date of receipt of the certified copy of this order.
