The petitioner was a candidate for the post of Sarpanch of Village Dhani Kendu, Tehsil Hansi, District Hisar. (2)
The election is scheduled to be held on 17.01.2016. Meanwhile, the Assistant Returning Officer - respondent No.6 has declared respondent No.7 as elected on the ground that petitioner has withdrawn her candidature and there is no contest. (3)
The petitioner has protested against the same as according to her, she never withdrew her candidature.

Since respondent No.7 has been declared unopposed, the effective remedy for the petitioner is to file election petition in accordance with law.
