Present writ petition is for issuance of directions to the respondent to pay the difference of leave travel concession to the petitioners for the block period i.e. from 01.07.2007 to 31.07.2009 as per the revised pay structure as on 01.01.2006 as similarly situated employees have been granted the said relief.

Learned counsel for the petitioners contended that petitioners herein retired before 01.01.2006 and they had been paid the leave travel concession as per the pay structure prior to 01.01.2006 instead of revised pay structure. Learned counsel further contended that case of the petitioners is squarely covered by the ratio of judgment rendered by the co-ordinate Bench of this Court in Khazan Chand & Others v. State of Punjab & Others (Civil Writ Petition No. 23198-2015, decided on 06.10.2017). Civil Writ Petition No. 25183 of 2018 23.02.2015 (Annexure P7) has been made.

Petitioners are claiming the relief on the basis of judgment rendered by this Court in Khazan Chand's case (supra), which was decided on 06.10.2017 and thereafter, they have not made any representation before the authority. As such, present writ petition, being not maintainable at this stage, stands dismissed. However, petitioners are at liberty to move appropriate representation before the competent authority expeditiously.
