(ORAL) The instant writ petition has been filed seeking to quash the orders dated 30.03.2015 (Annexure P-6) and 31.03.2015 (Annexure P-7) by which the petitioner had been ordered to retire from service as well as with a prayer for grant of one year extension in service under the notification dated 08.10.2012 (Annexure P-1).

At the very outset, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he does not press the prayer for extension in service, on instructions from the petitioner himself, however, the prayer is made that since the petitioner had superannuated w.e.f. 31.03.2015 his retiral benefits as due to him should be released as expeditiously as possible. In this regard the petitioner has completed all the necessary formalities. Mr. Avinit Avasthi, learned AAG, Punjab, on instructions from Harbhajan Singh, Jr. Technician, Department of Irrigation, submits that the pension papers of the petitioner have been forwarded to the Accountant Satyawan 2017.05.15 14:34 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document High Court Chandigarh

CWP No. 6615 of 2015 -2General's office on 18.04.2017 itself and as soon as the approval is accorded the pension will be released.

In view of the above, this writ petition is disposed of as having been rendered infructuous, however, with a direction to the respondents that the pension and the retiral benefits of the petitioner be released to him as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. 12.05.2017 (JAISHREE THAKUR) Satyawan JUDGE Whether speaking/reasoned Yes.
