(Oral) All the cases listed today have been taken up for hearing by way of video conferencing because of the situation existing due to the Covid-19 pandemic. By this petition, filed under the provisions of Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India, the petitioner seeks issuance of a direction to respondents no.2 and 3 to protect his life and property, as also his family, at the hands of respondents no.4 to 31.

In respect of his grievance, the petitioner is stated to have made a representation to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Patiala, on 11.07.2020 (copy Annexure P-6), with no action stated to have been taken thereupon so far.
