On 18.10.2024, following order was passed by this Court:- "Status report already filed and para 6 and 7 of the same indicates that the matter in controversy started by respondent No.5 has been seen and filed by Senior Superintendent of Police, Malerkotla on 04.10.2023.

At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioner pointed out that respondent No.5 till now has filed 07 complaints against the petitioners and her in-laws with whom matrimonial dispute is going on between petitioner No.1 and respondent No.5. It is pointed out that all the complaints filed by respondent No.5 were found to be false and filed even then the police did not take any action against respondent No.5 for filing false complaints against the petitioners.

In view of the aforesaid factual position, let respondent No.3- Deputy Superintendent of Police, Amargarh, Malerkotla, District Sangrur, appear in person to clarify the situation.

Learned counsel for the petitioner is also directed to give detail of the complaints filed by respondent No.5 from time to time and decision of the investigating agency on the said complaints.

Adjourned to 08.01.2025."

Today, learned Senior counsel for the petitioners seeks withdrawal of the present petition.
