(ORAL) In the present writ petition, the claim of the petitioner is for the grant of benefit as extended by this Court to the similarly situated employees in CWP-2605-1998 titled as 'R.K. Aggarwal and others Vs. State of Punjab and others', decided on 02.07.2014. Learned counsel for the respondents states that against the decision of learned Single Judge in R.K. Aggarwal (supra), LPA-1991-2014 was filed, which was dismissed by this Court on 29.07.2019 and the judgments passed by the learned Single Judge as well as by the Division Bench have been challenged before the Hon'ble Supreme Court by way of SLP(C) No.2793 of 2020, in which, notice of motion has been issued and the operation of the said judgments have been stayed.

CWP-6705-2015 -2Faced with this situation, learned counsel for the petitioner states that the petitioner be allowed to withdraw the present writ petition, at this stage, with liberty to file fresh one on the same of cause of action in case any of the grievance still subsists after the decision of the Special Leave Petition mentioned above.
