(Oral) The petitioner has approached this Court under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution, seeking a writ in the nature of mandamus, directing the respondents to issue exemption certificate/clearance certificate with regard to the land/property belonging to the petitioner, as the Notification/proposal (Annexures P-1 & P-2) had been quashed by this Court on 14.02.2011.

After hearing learned counsel for the petitioner, perusing the averments made in the writ petition and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, we dispose of the instant writ petition with a direction to respondent No.2 - Executive Officer, Improvement Trust, Amritsar, to decide the representation dated 01.05.2014 (Annexure P-8) by passing a speaking order after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, in accordance with law, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
