(Oral) The present petition has been filed seeking the following substantial prayer :- "It is therefore, most respectfully prayed that keeping in view the facts and circumstances explained above, the present petition may kindly be allowed and a direction may kindly be issued to the learned trial Court to decide the case bearing no. CHI/63-2002, registered vide FIR No. 86 dated 07.11.2019 at police station Women Cell, Patiala (AnnexureP-1), titled State of Punjab Vs. Gurpreet Singh, expeditiously, in the interest of justice." Notice of motion.

At the asking of the Court, Mr. Adhiraj Singh, AAG, Punjab accepts notice for respondent-State of Punjab.

The learned trial Court is directed to make an earnest endeavour for an expeditious trial.
