The present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking protection the life and liberty of the petitioners at the hands of respondent Nos.4 to 6. 2.

It is submitted that serious allegations have been leveled against respondent No. 3-SHO Police Station Julkan, District Patiala, who, despite repeated requests by petitioner raising his grievance, chose to remain quiet instead of resolving the matter and did not even bother to give him the copy of the DDR. The petitioner was beaten severely which caused fractures and even the copy of the MLR was not given to him.

Respondent No. 3 is present in Court along with the SI Jagdeep Singh, who tenders unconditional apology for the lapse on their part and respondent No. 3 undertakes that the matter shall be looked into diligently and appropriate protection shall be provided to the petitioner.
