Mr.Jashandeep Singh Sandhu, Advocate, for the petitioner. DEEPAK GUPTA, J. (ORAL) By way of this petition, petitioner prays for issuance of necessary directions in the nature of mandamus to respondents No.1 to 4 for protection of his life and liberty from the hands of respondent No.5 and other unknown police officials.

learned counsel submits that petitioner was earlier involved in case FIR No.293 dated 26.07.2023 registered under Sections 21 & 29 of the NDPS Act and Sections 181, 182 and 192 of the Motor Vehicle Act [added later on], at Police Station City Ferozepur, District Ferozepur. He was granted bail on 12.03.2025. He was again called to the police station on the pretext of some inquiry and FIR No.148 dated 06.05.2025 under Section 21 of the NDPS Act was registered against him at Police Sation City Ferozepur. He was falsely implicated in that case and was granted bail on 11.05.2025. He started his job at cold storage, but again his harassment started, as police is claiming to have orders from seniors to register the cases against any persons, who are earlier involved in FIRs under NDPS. Learned counsel contends that except the two FIRs as referred above, in which he is already VIVEK PAHWA 2025.06.26 15:51 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

Mr. Animesh Sharma, Addl. A.G. Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the State and on instructions from ASI Sharma Singh, has made a statement that petitioner is not being harassed. It is conceded that except two FIRs referred above, petitioner is not involved in any other case. 5.
Learned counsel for the petitioner is satisfied with the aforesaid statement made by learned counsel for the State and has no objection to dispose of the petition.
