Petitioner No.1 - Anjana @ Ranjana aged about 35 years, daughter of Rohtash, and petitioner No.2 - Ranjana Rajput @ Monika aged about 34 years, daughter of Premchand, both of whom are ladies and are already married and have one child each, have approached this Court seeking issuance of a direction to official respondents to protect their lives and liberty as they apprehend threat to the same at the hands of private respondents No.3 to 7, who are relatives of petitioner No.2, as both the petitioners were constrained to leave their matrimonial homes and are now residing together.

2. Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioners but without commenting anything as regards the veracity of the averments made in the petition, the instant petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 - Superintendent of Police, Ambala (Haryana) to look into the matter and to Pankaj Kakkar 2024.07.31 18:19 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document

CRWP-7288-2024 (O&M) ( 2 ) dispose off the representation dated 23.7.2024 (Annexure P-1) in accordance with law. In case, it is found that there is a genuine threat to the lives and liberty of the petitioners, then necessary steps warranted under law be taken thereupon at the earliest so as to ensure that no harm is caused to the petitioners.
