Today, at the very outset, learned State counsel has informed that in the instant case all the PWs already stand examined and that the matter is now fixed before the Trial Court for 31.1.2024.

Having regard to the aforestated position, wherein the trial is at its fag end, this Court does not deem appropriate to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage, who stands involved in respect of a case for recovery of 'commercial' quantity of contraband. The instant petition, as such, is dismissed. 3.

The Trial Court is directed to take all necessary steps as may be possible for conclusion of trial expeditiously.
