(ORAL) Petitioners have filed this petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for quashing FIR No.58 dated 30.6.2016 (Annexure P-1) under Sections 452, 324, 323, 148, 149 IPC, registered at Police Station Bajakhana, District Faridkot, and all other consequential proceedings arising out of the said FIR, as the matter stands amicably settled in terms of compromise (Annexure P-3).

Notice of motion was issued.

Vide order dated 15.09.2022, the parties were directed to appear before the trial Court/ Duty Magistrate within 15 days for getting their statements recorded with regard to the compromise and the trial Court was to send its report regarding the genuineness of the compromise.

CRM-M-39796-2022 -2A report dated 03.10.2022 of learned JMIC, Faridkot, has been received. As per the report, the parties had appeared before learned JMIC, Faridkot and got recorded their statements regarding compromise. Learned Magistrate has stated that he is of the considered view that the compromise between the parties is genuine, voluntary and without any coercion or undue influence.

In view thereof, the present petition is allowed. FIR No.58 dated 30.6.2016 (Annexure P-1), along with all subsequent proceedings arising therefrom, are hereby quashed qua the petitioners only.
