Haryana **** RITU BAHRI , J (Oral) The present petition has been filed seeking issuance of direction to the respondents to consider the candidature of the petitioners for the post of Industrial Extension Officer, as per advertisement dated 02.12.2016 (P-1) under the General Category, as the petitioners have secured more marks than the last cutoff in the general category as per interview notice dated 23.11.2017 (P-4) .

On 29.11.2017, this Court passed the following order:- "Inter alia contends that the petitioners were applicants against the post of Industrial Extension Officer in the General Category, for which there were 11 posts. They sat in the written examination and as per the result declared on 29.09.2017 (Annexure P-3), they were called for scrutiny of documents. However, vide notice dated 23.11.2017 (Annexure P-4), candidates have been called for interview on 28.11.2017 and the cut-off marks was fixed at 156 but the petitioners, who have GAURAV ARORA 2020.02.07 10:38 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh

C.W.P No. 27173 of 2017 secured 160 & 164 marks, respectively, have not been called. Notice of motion.

Ms.Shruti Jain Goyal, AAG, Haryana accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. Copy of the paperbook has been supplied to her. Result of the petitioners and their applications along with their eligibility/qualifications be produced on the next date of hearing, i.e., 08.12.2017.

As per reply filed by the Commission, the petitioners had secured total 154 and 148 marks respectively and the last candidate under General category has secured 156 marks. Thus the petitioners had secured lesser marks than the last candidate.

Dismissed.
