(Oral) The precise issue raised in this writ petition pertains to inclusion and exclusion of several castes/ communities in the category of Scheduled Caste etc. The issue has been raised in the context of reservation of the post of Sarpanch/Panches for the Gram Panchayat elections. In our considered view, such like issues would not fall within the ambit of judicial review, save in a case of violation of the Statute or Constitutional Mandate. The writ petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioners to agitate the matter before the State Election Commission and/or the Authorities.
