Through the instant petition, as instituted under Section 482 of the Cr.P.C., the petitioners have sought quashing of FIR No.97 dated 23.07.2019, under Sections 420/120-B of the IPC, registered at P.S. Nehianwala, District Bathinda.

The instant petition has been pending before this Court since the year 2019 and during pendency thereof, the learned trial Court concerned has not only framed charges against the petitioners, but, out of total 13 prosecution witnesses, 04 witnesses have also been examined and 05 witnesses have been given up.

On account of the supervening events (supra), coupled with the fact that the petitioners have not assailed the order, whereby, charges have been framed against them, this Court refrains from quashing the DEVINDER YADAV 2024.09.03 17:55 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment

CRM-M-34610-2019 present FIR, while exercising its power under Section 482 of the Cr.P.C. 4.

Consequently, the instant petition is dismissed, however, liberty is reserved to the petitioners to raise all such pleas and claims, as raised herein, before the learned trial Court concerned at an appropriate stage.
