**** ARUN MONGA, J. (ORAL) Petition herein, inter alia, is for issuance of a writ in the nature of Certiorari for quashing the condition of passing of eligibility test for the post of Data Entry Operator to be conducted by HARTRON within one year of contract period, imposed upon the petitioner vide appointment letters (Annexures P-10 & P-11).

Petition was filed in the year 2016.

When taken up for final adjudication, learned counsel is unable to assist the Court for lack of instructions. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner states that despite attempts, his office could not contact the petitioner. In the premise, no useful purpose would be served to issue fresh notice to the petitioner, as the same too would be an exercise in futility. 4.

It seems that by sheer effluxion of time and pendency of the writ petition for more than 61⁄2 years before this Court, either it has been rendered infructuous or even otherwise the petitioner seems to have lost interest in pursuing the same.

Be that as it may, writ petition is dismissed with liberty to the petitioner to file an appropriate application in case any cause of action still survives.
