Petitioner is serving as an Additional Superintending Engineer with the PSPCL and has challenged his transfer from Jalalabad (District Fazilka) to Badal (District Muktsar).
It is urged that the petitioner is due to retire on 30.11.2019 on attaining the age of superannuation. Therefore, his transfer is in violation of the transfer policy dated 29.3.2010 (Annexure P-3) and is liable to be quashed.
This Court while issuing notice of motion for today vide order dated 5.10.2018 had stayed the operation of the impugned order. At the time of hearing,counsel for the petitioner states that the present petition has become infructuous as the impugned transfer of the petitioner has since been cancelled vide order dated 12.10.2018.
