CRM-M-34830-2019 Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for the last 16 months and co-accused of the petitioner have already been released on bail vide order dated 26.2.2019 passed in CRM-M-35532-2018, titled "Kapil Vs. State of Punjab". On the other hand, learned counsel for the State, on instructions from ASI Balwinder Kumar, has submitted that the petitioner is involved in two more criminal cases of similar nature. Learned counsel for the petitioner has pointed out that those two FIRs are also of the same date. Without commenting on merits of the case and keeping in view the fact that the petitioner is already in custody for approximately 16 months and conclusion of trial is likely to take long time, the petitioner is directed to be released on regular bail subject to furnishing of adequate surety to the satisfaction of the trial Court/Duty Magistrate.
