**** HARNARESH SINGH GILL , J. (ORAL) Case is taken up for hearing through video conferencing. This is a petition under Article 227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ directing respondent No. 2 to grant four weeks' parole to the petitioner, in view of Section 3(1)(d) of the Haryana Good Conduct Prisoners, Temporary Release Act, 1988.
Custody certificate by way of affidavit of Deputy Superintendent, District Prison, Karnal has been filed through e-mail. Copy of the same is taken on record.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the application seeking parole was moved before the Jail Superintendent on 07.8.2020 (Annexure P-1) which is still pending and is yet to be forwarded to the competent Court. Learned counsel prays that respondent No. 4 may be directed to forward the said application to the competent authority i.e. Commissioner, Karnal Division, District Karnal-respondent No. 2. Notice of motion.

I have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned State counsel.
The application dated 07.8.2020 (AnnexureP-1), which is duly supported by the report of Municipal Councilor (Annexure P-2), is pending before the Jail Superintendent, District Jail Karnal. Keeping in view the above, respondent No. 4-Superintendent Jail, District Jail, Karnal is directed to forward the application moved by the petitioner (Annexure P-1) to the competent authority within a week from the receipt of certified copy of this order.
The petition stands disposed of.
