By filing the present petition, the petitioners are seeking enhancement of compensation for the acquired land. Briefly, the facts of the case are that Government of India, Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, New Delhi, issued notification under Section 3(1) of the Petroleum and Minerals Pipelines (Acquisition of Right of User in Land) Act, 1962 (for short, 'the Act') on 19.2.2005 for acquiring right to use of land situated in the revenue estate of Bahadurgarh, District Jhajjar. The petitioners filed objections. The competent authority assessed the market value of the land. Dissatisfied with the award of the competent authority, the landowners filed applications before learned Additional

CWP No. 6259 of 2016 [2] District Judge, who vide award dated 20.10.2014, assessed the market value of the acquired land @ ` 20,00,000/- per acre and consequently awarded compensation as per the Act. It is this award which has been impugned in the present petition.

Learned counsel for the parties are agreed that the issues raised in the present petition are squarely covered by the judgment of this court in CWP No. 2851 of 2016-Smt. Sudharsna and others v. Mundra Delhi Pipline Paryojna Hindustan Petroleum Corporation and another, decided on 27.1.2017.
