Petitioner has preferred this writ petition for a direction to respondents to make payment of admitted outstanding amount as reflected in the bills, Annexures P-1 & P-2 for the work executed by it. Admittedly by now the principal amount has already been paid to the petitioner. Only cause of action that survives is regarding interest on the delayed payment. Mr. Chadha has placed reliance on judgment reported as Food Corporation of India & anr. vs. M/s Seil Ltd. & ors. 2008 AIR (SC)1101. Learned State counsel submits that pleas of the petitioner shall be considered and a decision be taken by the competent authority within six weeks from today.

In view of statement made by learned State counsel, present petition is hereby disposed of.
