(Oral) Prayer in both present writ petitions is for issuance of directions in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to consider candidature of petitioners for the posts of PGT Geography Chemistry Screening (Category No.6) and (Category No.2) respectively under the category of Scheduled Caste Reservation instead of Backward Class Reservation Candidate in view of Gazette dated 09.05.2016/06.05.2016 of Government of India.
In pursuance to notice of motion order dated 06.10.2018, State has filed separate replies on behalf of respondent No.3 (in both cases) in SAVITA KADIAN 2019.07.18 10:21 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document High Court Chandigarh
CWP No.25716 of 2018 {2} Court today, same are taken on record. Para 7 of reply reads thus:- "7. That the main prayer of the petitioner is to consider the candidature of petitioner in SC Category instead of BCA Category for the post of PGT Geography/Chemistry. In this regard, Commission is of the view that since there is no negligence on part of candidate/petitioner and it is the constitutional amendment which has led to change in category of the petitioner, therefore, in this matter Commission is ready to consider the candidature of petitioner in SC Category instead of BCA category in compliance of Government of India notification dated 09.05.2016."
In view of aforementioned, grievance of the petitioners has been redressed. Let the result of petitioners be declared and necessary action be followed.
