By virtue of the present petition under Section 482 BNSS, petitioner, who is co-accused in case bearing FIR No.110 dated 21.05.2025 registered under Sections 221, 132 of BNS (Section 109 BNS added later on), at Police Station Bhawanigarh, District Sangrur, has prayed for grant of pre-arrest bail.

On 26.06.2025, following order was passed by this Court:- "Prayer in this petition under Section 482 BNSS is for grant of anticipatory bail in case FIR No.110 dated 21.05.2025, registered at Police Station Bhawanigarh, District Sangrur, under Sections 221, 132 BNS (Section 109 BNS added later on).
The allegations against the petitioner are that on 21.05.2025 when the police party had gone to village Nagra in connection with fight against drugs movement and went to the house of one Baldev Singh, one of his sons Harpreet Singh (petitioner herein) along with other scuffled with police party and caused hindrence in performance of lawful duty. Learned counsel contends further that the petitioner has been falsely implicated; and that he is ready to join the investigation. Notice of motion.
Mr. Animesh Sharma, Addl. A.G., Punjab accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-State. A copy of paper book be supplied to him during the course of day.
Adjourned to 01.09.2025 for filing status report. In the meantime, petitioner is directed to join investigation and co-operate in the same. He will not leave the country without prior permission of the Court nor shall make any attempt to contact the complainant of the case or any witness associated with the case. CRM-M-33408-2025 be released on interim bail on his furnishing personal/surety bonds to the satisfaction of the Arresting Officer/Investigating Officer. He shall also abide by conditions as envisaged under Section 482(2) BNSS."

Pursuant thereto, the status report by way of affidavit of Rahul Kaushal, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub Division, Bhawanigarh, District Sangrur has been placed on record. In para 5 thereof, it has been specifically mentioned that petitioner has joined the investigation on 07.07.2025.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that in compliance to the order dated 26.06.2025 passed by this Court, the petitioner has already joined the investigation and as such interim bail granted to the petitioner may be confirmed.

Learned State counsel has also intimated that the petitioner has joined investigation and is no more required for any custodial investigation in this case nor he is required for further investigation. 6.

Keeping in view the above submissions made by learned State counsel and the fact that the petitioner had joined the investigation, interim bail granted vide order dated 26.06.2025 is hereby confirmed, subject to conditions as envisaged under Section 482(2) BNSS. Further the petitioner is directed to join investigation as and when required in future by way of written notice for such purpose to be served by Investigating Officer of this case upon the petitioner; he will not tamper with the evidence nor will influence the witnesses and will not leave the country without prior permission of the Court.

The petition stands allowed.
