**** HARNARESH SINGH GILL , J. (ORAL) Case is taken up for hearing through video conferencing. The petitioner seeks regular bail in FIR No. 145 dated 10.5.2020 under Sections 307, 323, 336, 188, 270, 148, 149 IPC, Section 51 of Disaster Management Act, 2005 and Section 25 and 27 of the Arms Act, 1959 registered at Police Station Sadar, District Amritsar. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the only allegation against the petitioner is that he has given a push to the complainant/injured Vishnu Sharma but there is no injury on the vital part of the body. He further submits that the petitioner has been in custody since 05.9.2020. Learned counsel has drawn the attention of this Court towards the order dated 30.6.2020 (Annexure P-4) passed by this Court to submit that co-acucsed Harmanpreet Singh Randhawa, who has inflicted injury on the right index finger of the complainant with his licenced gun, has been GURPREET SINGH 2020.12.03 15:37 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chadigarh granted anticipatory bail. He further submits that other co-accused namely

CRM-M No. 39476 of 2020 -2Davinder Singh, Robin Sharma and Mohit Sharma have been granted anticipatory bail by this Court and co-accused Anantdeep Singh has been granted regular bail by the Co-ordinate Bench of this Court. On the other hand, learned State counsel has pointed out that in the present case, challan has been presented on 28.11.2020 but has not disputed the fact that the other co-accused have been granted the concession of bail by this Court.

The petitioner has been in custody since 05.9.2020. Challan has been presented on 28.11.2020. Moreover, the other co-accused have also been granted the concession of bail by this Court. The trial will take time to conclude because of Covid-19 pandemic. No useful purpose would be served by keeping the petitioner behind the bars. Without commenting anything on the merits of the case, the petition is allowed and the petitioner is ordered to be released on bail on his furnishing bail/surety bonds to the satisfaction of the trial Court/Duty Magistrate.
