(ORAL) The petitioner, a registered Sabha, is seeking directions to the respondents to release its land acquired by the Improvement Trust, Patiala as per the Award dated dated 04.02.2008 / Reference Court Award dated 31.05.2014 (Annexure P-1), whereby the land was acquired for establishment of Mahavir Enclave by virtue of Notification under Section 36 of the Punjab Town Improvement Act, 1922.

It is averred that the 42 acres land, abutting to the main road, was acquired by the Improvement Trust, Patiala for establishment of one Mahavir Enclave's, a scheme for residential and commercial purposes. The said land is situated on Rajpura Road, Patiala, Hadbast No. 33 of NH 641. Neither the land was utilized for the purpose in question nor is still being utilized for any public purpose, despite the Award dated 04.02.2008. The land was allegedly exchanged with the Punjab Road Transport Corporation, DINESH KUMAR 2020.12.07 14:13 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Patiala.
