The present petition has been filed under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing respondents No.1 to 4 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners from the hands of police officials of Police Station Sadar Ludhiana, who are threatening the petitioners, at the instance of respondents No.5 and 6, for implicating them in any false criminal case and are repeatedly calling the petitioners for creating undue pressure upon the petitioners in favour of respondents No.5 and 6. Learned counsel for the petitioners seeks permission of this Court to withdraw the present petition.

Dismissed as withdrawn.

However, in case the petitioners are involved in any offence constituted against them in any FIR lodged with the Police Station concerned, thereupon the petitioners are at liberty to approach an appropriate Court in accordance with law for grant of anticipatory bail. CRWP No.10165 of 2021 -2Moreover, in case there is any imminent threat to the life and liberty of the petitioners, it is also open to the petitioners to approach an appropriate Court of law for seeking grant of anticipatory bail. However, in case no formal FIR is registered nor any rapat is pending for investigation with the Police Station concerned, thereupon the respondents may not proceed unnecessarily to harass the petitioners.
