Learned State counsel submits that present petition has been rendered infructuous as election has already been held in March, 2017 i.e. after the interim order (February 14, 2017) was passed. In view of above, present petition is dismissed as having been rendered infructuous. Petitioner shall, however, be at liberty to seek revival of the petition in case any cause of action survives.
