Petitioner namely Sohan Singh, aged about 70 years, has filed present petition, seeking direction to carry out fair and expeditious investigation in FIR No.0128 dated 25.06.2024, under Sections 452, 148, 149, 506, 427 IPC, registered at Police Station Mahilpur, District Hoshiarpur.

Ground of the petitioner taken in the present petition is that after registration of the FIR, no material action has been taken by the police because neither the investigation has been completed nor accused has been being nabbed.

In the status report filed by learned State counsel, it has been pleaded that on 27.06.2024, petitioner (complainant) got recorded supplementary statement, and named 4 accused namely Baljit Kaur, Jagjit Singh, Narinder Singh @ Nandi, and Charanjit Singh @ Channi. CRM-M-36895-2024 -2accused namely Charanjit Singh @ Channi has gone abroad, and other three accused have been granted the concession of anticipatory bail. 4.

After seeking required instuctions from the Investigating Officer who is present before this Court, learned State counsel submits that very soon, investigation would be completed, and final report would be submitted to the concerned Court.

In view of the facts recorded here above, this Court does not find any cause surviving with the petitioner to continue with the present petition. Accordingly, the same is dismissed.
