The present petition has been filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India seeking direction to the official respondents to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner and his family members at the hands of respondent Nos.6 to 8. 2.

After arguing for some time, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners would be content and satisfied in case their representation dated 20.06.2025 (Annexure P-5) be decided in a time bound manner. 3.

Notice of motion to respondent Nos.1 to 5 only.

On the asking of the Court, Mr. Kamalpreet Bawa, DAG, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-State.

In view of the prayer made and without commenting upon the merits of the case, the respondent No.2-Inspector General of Police, Patiala Range, Patiala is directed to decide the legal notice/ representation dated 20.06.2025 (Annexure P-5) within a period of 04 weeks by passing a speaking order in accordance with law.
