The prayer in the present Civil Writ Petition filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, is for directing the respondents to enforce/implement the order of Hon'ble Chief Minister, Punjab dated 22.07.2021 (Annexure P-19) in so far as it closes the vigilance proceedings initiated against the petitioner.

Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the present petition may be disposed of in view of para 5 and 6 of the reply dated 28.08.2023, filed on behalf of respondent Nos. 1 to 3, which read thus:- "5. That now the department of respondent No. 2 and 4 has decided to conduct a regular enquiry instead of vigilance enquiry vide its letter No. 65/34/2015-C2/1(1/5)/767, dated 19.01.2023 and a copy of which is annexed as (Annexure R- 3).

6. That in these circumstances the Vigilance Department/ Punjab has closed the matter against the petitioner. 3.
