[1] The matter is taken up for hearing through video conference due to COVID-19 situation.

[2] The petitioners have approached this Court seeking protection of their life and liberty, pleading that petitioner Nos. 1 and 2 have performed marriage against the wishes of parents and family members of petitioner No.1 and there is threat to their life and liberty. [3] Notice of motion.

[4] Ms. Samina Dhir, DAG, Punjab accepts notice on behalf of the respondents No.1 to 3.

[5] Learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted a representation dated 24.11.2020 (Annexure P-5) to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Patiala and S.H.O., Police Station Samana, District Patiala, seeking necessary protection, but no action has been taken so far in the matter.
