(Oral) (1) On the oral request made by Mr. Lakhanpal, the Punjab and Haryana High Court through its Registrar General is impleaded as a party respondent. Registry to carry out necessary amendment in the memo of parties.
(2) The petitioners are the practicing lawyers in the District Courts at Mohali. Their chamber complex is under construction and meanwhile, the Courts have been shifted to the New Judicial Complex. While the District Administration in consultation with the Hon'ble Building Committee (Punjab) of the High Court and the Hon'ble Administrative Judge appears to have made make-shift arrangement for some of the lawyers in the New Complex, the petitioners are amongst those who have been left out and have no place for their day-to-day work. Their grievance is that they too need some space for temporary sheds to shift at the New Judicial Complex. can be effectively redressed by the Building Committee of Punjab constituted by the High Court in association with the Hon'ble Administrative Judge with the assistance of the District Administration, as the later is obligated to identify some suitable site for construction of temporary sheds subject to such terms and conditions as may have been applied on other lawyers. (3) Let the instant writ petition therefore be treated as a representation on behalf of the petitioners and other affected lawyers and be placed before the Hon'ble Building Committee, Punjab whom we request to consider the petitioners' plight sympathetically and take immediate necessary remedial steps. (4) The writ petition stands disposed of in above terms. (5) Dasti.
