A status report has been filed by way of affidavit of Ganga Ram Punia, IPS, Superintendent of Police of Panipat wherein it has been stated that a statement of the detenue has since been recorded and as per the statement the alleged detenue has stated that he has no grievance against respondent Nos.5 to 7 and does not want to pursue any complaint filed by him.

The statement of the petitioner has also been recorded wherein it has been stated that he has received his cousin alleged detenue safely and that he was not kept detained in any manner at Police Post Urlana Kalan, District Panipat.

In view of the status report, the present petition has been rendered infructuous.
