Petitioner joined his duty on 30.04.2013 at Central Jail-I Hisar and thereafter applied for casual leave for three days on 28.10.2013 and during that period he fell ill and did not join back. He was issued a notice dated 17.01.2014 with regard to his long absence. He then joined back on 16.01.2015 i.e after a long gap of almost 01 years and 3 months and worked there till 13.03.2015 but his services were dispensed vide impugned order dated 13.03.2015 on the basis of absence from duty. In the order, it has been stated that since the petitioner was on probation period and his conduct was not found satisfactory, as he remained absent from duty for so long, he has not proved himself to be a good official as per requirement of Rule 10 of GAURAV ARORA 2016.04.12 16:23 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

C.W.P No. 6518 of 2016 -2the Punjab Jail Department State Services (Class III Executive) Rules 1963 (for short 'Rules 1963') and terms and conditions of appointment letter issued to him.

Petitioner filed appeal appeal against order dated 13.03.2015, which was dismissed on 21.05.2015. He preferred revision thereafter, against the order of termination and against the oder of appeal, which was also dismissed on 02.12.2015. After going through the impugned orders, no ground is made out to quash them, as the orders have rightly been passed, in view of Rules 1963.
