Learned counsel for the petitioner has prayed for a writ in the nature of mandamus to direct the respondent to grant refund/claim of remaining excess customs duty amounting to Rs.13,69,076.88/- withheld vide order dated 16.10.2020.
According to learned counsel, for the grievance raised herein, he has also submitted a representation dated 04.11.2020, Annexure P-5. However, no decision has been taken thereon so far. At the outset, Mr. Tejender Joshi, Advocate has put in appearance on behalf of the respondent and submits that a decision on the representation, Annexure P-5, shall be taken at the earliest, in any case, not later than 04 weeks. A speaking order shall be passed and conveyed to the petitioner within the stipulated period.
