By this petition, the petitioner seeks issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing respondents no.2 and 3 to protect his and his family members' lives and liberty, at the hands of respondents no.4 to 7. He further seeks issuance of a direction to respondent no.2 to provide him protection from respondents no.4 and 7, as also to decide his representation dated 9.10.2021 (copy Annexure P-1). In respect of his grievance, the petitioner is stated to have made a representation to the SSP, Ludhiana Rural (respondent no.2) on 9.10.2021, a copy of which has been annexed as Anenxure P-1 with the petition. Consequently, without making any comment on the actual merits of the case, this petition is disposed of with a direction to the SSP, Ludhiana Rural, i.e. respondent no.2, to take a decision on the representation of the petitioner, dated 9.10.2021 (Annexure P-1), by passing PRAVEEN KUMAR 2021.10.26 12:57 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
