Learned counsel for the petitioner argues that in the present case, the petitioner was entitled for the grant of House Rent Allowance w.e.f. 30.05.2020 which was in fact granted to the petitioner from 30.05.2021.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that as the petitioner has approached this Court earlier by filing CWP No.20260 of 2021 wherein a direction was issued to the respondents to consider the claim of the petitioner for grant of HRA in pursuance to which direction in the impugned order Annexure P.7 was passed. The petitioner had filed COCP No.645 of 2022 raising a grievance that the order passed by this Court in CWP No.20260 of 2021 has not been complied with in its letter and spirit. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that while disposing of the contempt petition on 02.05.2022, liberty was given to the petitioner to file a representation for consideration of the competent authority so as to claim the HRA from 30.05.2020 instead of 30.05.2021, in pursuance to which order, the petitioner served a legal notice upon the respondents on RENU 2022.09.09 16:40 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh

CWP No.20252 of 2022 -219.05.2022 a copy of which has been appended as Annexure P.9. Learned counsel submits that the petitioner will be satisfied in case a direction is issued to the respondents to decide the same, by passing an appropriate speaking order in a time bound manner.

Notice of motion.

On the asking of the Court, Mr. Harish Nain, learned Assistant Advocate General, Haryana, who is present in Court, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents- State and raises no objection in deciding the legal notice dated 19.05.2022 (Annexure P.9), if not decided so far, by passing a speaking order within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that keeping in view the statement of the learned State Counsel, no further grievance of the petitioner survives in the present petition, the same may be disposed of as having not pressed any further, at this stage. Ordered accordingly.
