(Oral) The petitioner has prayed for a direction to the respondents for correcting his and his father's name in his original school/other educational certificates, which are attached as Annexure P-2 (colly). Respondent no.2 has filed an additional affidavit of Gurinder Pal Singh, Secretary, Punjab School Education Board, SAS Nagar, Mohali, in which it is averred that insofar as name of the petitioner is concerned, that has been changed from Rakesh Kumar to Rakesh Kumar Singla, but name of the father of the petitioner can be changed by the Committee, provided

Counsel for the petitioner submits that he would do the needful, as required by respondent no.2, but the direction may be issued to them and to the University to make necessary correction(s) in the time bound manner. The petitioner may submit the requisite documents, as mentioned in para no.3 of the aforesaid affidavit dated 27.07.2015, to respondent no.2 who would effect the necessary correction(s) in the name of his father, within three weeks from the said date and after obtaining the corrected certificate(s) from respondent no.2, the petitioner would submit them to the University. The University is further directed that if such certificates are submitted by the petitioner, then the necessary correction(s) shall be effected within 3 weeks thereafter.

With these observations, the present writ petition is disposed of.
