(Oral) The solitary prayer made in the present writ petition filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, is for issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus directing the respondents to renew the licence of the petitioners in terms of Rule 21(1) of the Punjab Agricultural Produce Markets (General) Rules, 1962 (for brevity 'the Rules of 1962') and the Punjab Agricultural Produce Markets Act, 1961 (in short 'the Act of 1961'). A further prayer for permitting the petitioners to continue with their business of Katcha Arthiya during the pendency of the writ petition has also been made.

Short reply by way of affidavit of Hakikat, Secretary Market Committee, Cheeka, District Kaithal, has been filed in Court today. The same is taken on record, subject to all just exceptions, wherein, it has been stated as under:- "2.

CWP No. 7460 of 2015 - 2 - the petitioner No.1 has already been renewed upto 31.03.2016 on 28.05.2015.

The license of petitioner No.2 has also been renewed upto 31.03.2016 on 30.05.2015."
