**** HARNARESH SINGH GILL, J.(Oral) Through this petition, the petitioner seeks issuance of directions to the learned Court concerned to expedite the trial in case bearing registration No.644 of 2015 in cross-case bearing FIR No.140 dated 17.07.2014, registered under Sections 323, 341, 294 and 364-A IPC, at Police Station Sadar Jalandhar, District Jalandhar titled State of Punjab Vs Dharampal and others.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that FIR was registered way back in the year 2014; that the challan was presented on 10.02.2015 and that though the charges were framed on 14.07.2015, yet till date only three witnesses have been examined. Learned State counsel does not dispute the aforesaid factual position and has no objection to the aforesaid prayer made by the learned counsel for the petitioner.
