Present writ petition is for issuance of directions to the respondents to count the daily wage service period of the petitioner which he had served from 25.12.1993 to 02.01.2007 and subsequently, he was absorbed as Constable for the purpose of qualifying service for grant of pension and other benefits and respondents be also directed to release the same by treating him as in continuous service as has been done in similarly situated employees by this Court and as per the Hon'ble Apex Court as well. Learned counsel for the petitioner has placed reliance upon the judgment rendered by the co-ordinate Bench of this Court in Constable Rajesh Kumar & Others v. State of Punjab & Another (CWP-24472-2015, decided on 07.01.2016). More so, thereafter, petitioner got issued legal notice dated 04.04.2018 (Annexure P9) and reminder thereto dated 09.07.2018 (Annexure P10), respectively, but still no action has been taken. Civil Writ Petition No. 26116 of 2018 Notice of motion.

On asking of the Court, Mrs. Anju Arora, Additional Advocate General, Punjab accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. A complete copy of paper-book be provided to her during the course of the day. As the matter in controversy is involved, which has been mainly decided by the co-ordinate Bench of this Court in Constable Rajesh Kumar's case (supra), the respondents are directed to look into legal notice dated 04.04.2018 (Annexure P9) and take action thereon expeditiously and preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.

With the observations made above, present writ petition stands disposed of.
