This is an application for referring the present case to the Lok Adalat of this Court to explore the possibility of a compromise. 2.

Learned counsel for the parties are ad idem that the matter has since been settled between the parties and that the present appeal may be disposed off as such.

With the consent of the learned counsel for the parties, the main appeal (FAO-6083-2012) is taken on Board today itself. CM stands disposed off.

The present appeal has been preferred by the claimant-appellants Yogesh Sharma 2024.11.19 09:28 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this order/judgment.

FAO-6083-2012 (O&M) -2aggrieved by the quantum of compensation awarded by the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, Jind vide award dated 04.01.2011. 7.
Learned counsel for the parties are ad idem that the matter has since been settled between the appellants and the respondent No.2-Insurance Company. The respondent No.2-Insurance Company has agreed to pay an amount of Rs.6,00,000/- (rupees six lacs only) to the claimant-appellants herein as full and final settlement of the claim in this appeal. The learned counsel are further ad idem that the amount be apportioned amongst the claimant-appellants in equal proportion.

Learned counsel for the respondent No.2-Insurance Company, on oral instructions from Mr. Sunil Aggarwal, Manager, states that the cheques totalling to Rs.6,00,000/- in the name of the claimant-appellants would be handed over to the claimant-appellants within a period of 30 days from today.

In view of the above, the present appeal is disposed off with a direction to the respondent No.2-Insurance Company to pay an amount of Rs.6,00,000/- (rupees six lacs only) by way of account payee cheques totalling to Rs.6,00,000/- in the name of the claimant-appellants, which would be handed over to them within a period of 30 days from today, failing which interest @ 9% per annum would be payable on the same from the date of filing of the claim petition till realization.

Disposed off accordingly. Pending applications, if any, also stand disposed off.
