AMIT RAWAL J. (Oral) Prayer in present writ petition is for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent-authorities to include the name of petitioner in the list of candidates to be called for the appointment of Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT) after being selected in the written test. Notice of motion.

On asking of Court, Mr. Kiran Pal Singh, Assistant Advocate General, Haryana, accepts notice on behalf of respondents. Mr.Kamal Singh, learned counsel appearing on behalf of petitioner submits that as per notice dated 03.09.2016 (Annexure P-2), petitioner was found eligible for the post of TGT English under Dependents of Ex-Servicemen (DESM) Category and scrutiny of documents was already done which was clarified from (Annexure P-3) but despite that not called for interview. He further submits that petitioner, at this stage, would be satisfied if a direction is issued to respondent No.3 to consider and decide SAVITA KADIAN 2019.08.29 14:51 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document High Court Chandigarh

In view of statement made by learned counsel for the petitioner and without going into merit of case or commenting thereon, present writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.3 to decide the representation dated 11.07.2019 (Annexure P-4) after affording the opportunity of hearing to the petitioner by passing a well reasoned and speaking order within a period of one week from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.

In case, representation is not decided within aforementioned specified time, there shall be costs of Rs.50,000/- to be paid by the concerned officer to the petitioner.
