Present writ petition is for issuance of directions to the respondents to release the gratuity and leave encasement and other benefits to the petitioner on account of death of her husband, namely Harmail Singh along with interest at the rate of 18% per annum. Learned counsel for the petitioner contended that after the death of husband of the petitioner, who died during his service tenure on 03.05.2015, gratuity and leave encashment benefits have not been released to her so far and for this purpose, petitioner made representation dated 23.04.2018 (Annexure P3), which is still pending with the respondents for adjudication. Learned counsel for the petitioner further contended that grievance of the petitioner would be redressed, if her representation (Annexure P3) is decided by the respondents in expeditious manner.
