Present writ petition is for granting and recomputing the pension/family pension of the petitioners w.e.f. 01.01.2006 in terms of notification dated 22.02.2010 (Annexure P3) and in the light of judgments rendered by this Court in A.P.Sharma and Others v. State of Punjab and Others (CWP-25733-2012, decided on 22.10.2013); State of Punjab and Others v. A.P.Sharma and Others 2017(1) S.C.T. 322 (DB) and Karanvir Singh & Others v. State of Punjab & Others 2016(4) J.C.T. 715. Learned counsel for the petitioners contended that similarly placed workmen had already been granted the same benefit on the basis of judgments rendered by this Court in A.P.Sharma's cases (supra) and Karanvir Singh's case (supra), but the case of petitioners is not being decided, though legal notice dated 08.01.2018 (Annexure P7) in this regard was got issued by them.
