Present:

***** Rakesh Kumar Jain, J.

The only grievance of the petitioner is that the respondents No. 8 to 12, who are members of the Palledar Majdur Union, Branch Office, Food Supplies Office, Ahmedgarh, Tehsil Malerkotla, District Sangrur, are interfering and causing hindrance in execution of the labour contract by the petitioner and forcing him to engage their labour instead of engaging from their own source. It is also submitted that despite repeated representations to the authorities for providing protection, no action has been taken.

Counsel for the respondents has submitted that without approaching the concerned Police Station, the petitioner has directly made a complaint to the Senior Superintendent of Police.

The petitioner is only asking for protection from respondents No. 8 to 12 who are members of the Union and are not allowing the petitioner to execute its contract. Consequently, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to the SHO, Ahmedgarh, Tehsil Malerkotla, District Sangur and SHO Delhon, Tehsil and District Ludhiana, respondents No. 4 & 5 respectively, to look into the grievance of the petitioner and, if need be, provide them adequate security.
