G.S.SANDHAWALIA, J. (Oral) The petitioners, in the above said cases, seek the release of retiral dues alongwith interest.

It is the case of the petitioners that the petitioners, who were working as Field Officers, were due to retire on 31.01.2015. They had been given extension, which was withdrawn mid-way and they were unsuccessful in the challenge to the orders of extension. Their retiral dues have been withheld in spite of representation being filed thereafter on 13.02.2016 SHIVANI GUPTA 2016.04.12 18:01 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh

Counsel submits that he would be satisfied if a time bound decision is taken on the said representation. Keeping in view the limited relief sought, this Court is of the opinion that there is no need to call upon the respondents to file reply. Accordingly, without commenting on the merits of the case, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to Managing Director of the Federation to decide the representation dated 13.02.2016 (Annexure P-6) within a period of 1 month from the date of receipt of certified copy of the order. In case the petitioners are found entitled for the retiral dues and there is no legal impediment, the same be paid within a period of one month thereafter. Needless to say if the relief is to be denied, a reasoned order be passed and conveyed to the petitioners.
