Learned counsel for the petitioner contended that the matter in controversy is squarely covered by the ratio of judgments rendered by the co-ordinate Benches of this Court in Jagjit Singh and Ors. v. State of Punjab and Ors. (CWP-17358-2015, decided on 09.09.2016) and Sukhdev Singh and Others v. State of Punjab and Another (CWP-9125-2014, decided on 09.01.2018), respectively.
